Can anyone tell me how to make a skin? i have a model, but i need to make a skin. any help?
use PS to paint one then bake it in the modelling prog

1. UV map your model
2. export the UV map with a tool like Texporter (if you use MAX)
3. paint your texture on top of your UV MAP

Try Upaint, its on Disc Six of the 2K4 install. Browse here :

wait, disc six? mine has 5 installs and the play disc, wich are u calling 6?

That will be it.
In the play disk there is a folder called extras. In that folder is a folder for upaint, maya ple ...
You may need to (if using windows OS) go "my computer" and then right click on your cd/dvd drive with the play disk in it and select "explore" to get to it.

I thought maya was an exorbinantly expensive 3d editing prog?... so they give us a downscale model on the disk I guess? :confused:
