New video available

There's a video of someone playing the demo on a PC available. It's quite long (like 27 megs) and features most of the weapons in extended actions (sniper, mini, rifle, shield/hammer, rocket, pulse). The picture doesn't look very good and the guy is an awful player (as an added bonus, he and the guy camming make Bevis and Buttheaded noises off and on), but it's definitely informative of the new play style and engine appearance.

Sadly, the only time you see the flak is when the guy gets shot in the face with it. I, of course, was heartbroken. =)

LOL At one time he says "he's f*cking botting dude!" lol!!!! haha. Man these guys are awful.

You know though, the demo will have new sounds and will not play any of those "loser", "yehaw" and other sound effects that were present for UT.

Also did anyone notice that the shockrifle looks completely different????????????????? What's up with that? The one they show in this demo looks a lot like a newer version of the shockrfile from UT instead of the cooler looking one with spikes (from the other videos).

The primary shock fire also shoots very fast in UT2003. As in, its reload is extremely fast. It looks like you only have to wait half the time from the UT shock rifle.

Damn.... I thought I could have some sucky games sometimes. This guy DID suck. Seemed to be one of the annoying guys that hang out on Face servers.

However, the map and textures, etc looked AWESOME. Game play was VERY smooth too. I liked when he kept shooting the corpse and different limbs kept blowing off one by one. And when he was hit by a rocket and he fell with flames shooting from his corpse. Some nice added effects :) And why did they use a CAMCORDER?!?! oh well... still very sweet. --ENVY--

If it is out for people like this, I wouldn't doubt that a demo has leaked SOMEWHERE. Gotta check newsgroups and mIRC... :evil:

I am currently downloading it from a nice gentlemen in Denmark.

I met him in mIRC last night and have been downloading the file at a grueling 10kb per second :(

I just watched the video... what an ass. He finally gets a lucky RL shot off and he goes "owned!" even though the bots were spanking his ass. :) I think he summed up his skill when he said "stop moving!". Anyway, this is probably the worst quality vid I've seen yet. It pisses me off that it's some jackasses playing the leaked demo, rub it in my face why don't you.

Woah, it looks amazing. Too bad they ditched the stone look on the bases though, I don't really dig that yellow all over it. The lava, terrain, and fog are badass though.

I've actually accidentally -hehe, seen about 50 or so shots from the "demo", and I can clearly see why they would not want that stuff released. I see errors everywhere I look in those photos. But you can completely transform a map in a few hours so I think its a safe bet that they have significantly improved on the levels. There are even errors in the officially released photos as well :D . Whose taking these screenshots :p . I like some of the stuff I have seen though, as well as dislike a fair amount as well. I heared from some guy that has the demo already, that it plays a little crappy. I told him thats because it is not the official demo yet. He told me that it was te official demo and that it will be released in two days (fryday the 14th)....

He also told me theres no online mode in the demo... (clearly it looks that this demo is the leaked demo)

Well, I hope it will be released in two days, but i doubt it....

Actually I hear there is online play in the leaked demo... there is just no server browser, so you have to connect from the console manually using ip's. Apparently the leaked demo has a hell of a lot of problems and it's obvious not a polished demo, so we're better off waiting I guess. :/ Though from what I've heard, the game is lookin awesome despite the lack of polish, and it runs alot smoother than people were predicting. I hope they're going to release the demo sooner than I think they are!
