Hi.:)
Technically Xan MkIII is "the boss", he's just lost a lot of weight recently thanks to atkins and a rigorous hollywood training regime.
Yes it's possible to covert the boss playermodel from UT to 2k3/4, just requires a bit of time re-rigging and scaling up the textures, you'd also lose all the vertex animations and have to pretty much re-animate from scratch or gank animations from an existing model to save time.
Personally though, given the choice, I'd much rather see an updated Boss style model than a direct port. The warboss port, despite some scaled up skins looked very low-poly and stuck out like a sore thumb -the same would be true of a Xan port, which is an even older, even lower poly model. :p
Still, people love invasion , with all Unreal 1 monsters . :D

The warmachine model was easier to convert across (fairly) faithfully because it was a skeletal mesh to begin with (BP4 models were the first to exploit an independant skeletal animation system over the model dependant vertex animations), to faithfully reproduce the boss's animations would require someone to remake them all again from scratch.
