I have the first unreal tournament..i just wanna know if it is popular at all?like do alot of people use it for multi-player? or should i just get the new 1?lol

Unreal Tournament is still popular, and has many active multiplayer servers. Still, i would play both, and make up your own mind. i like them all.

I've still got the full suite installed - Unreal/2/XMP and UT/UT2k3/UT2k4 - they're all good ...

I would say yes that UT is almost as popular as it was just 5 years ago. It has lost a little bit of it's multiplayer base to other games though. This is to be expected but it's a great game and they'll be back mark my words. If you've just purchased UT(kinda hard to find it in stores these days) then you made a wise choice IMO. Don't forget to look for UnrealEd.exe in your Unreal Tournament\System folder to try your hand at making maps for the game and also don't forget (if you don't have the GOTY edition) to download and install the version 436 patch as most servers will not accept any versions lower than that. You can see what version of the game you have after you've started the game just look in the upper right hand corner of your screen and if it says 436 you're ready to go! :) Have fun and don't kill anybody! LOL
