Question about bonus packs

I was just wondering if say you downloaded bonus pack 4 and you didnt have bonus pack 3, if you still needed to download pack 3 to get the stuff from it? :hammer: If that makes sense?

Either you're asking if you need bonus pack 3 to install bonus pack 4, or you're asking if all of what is in bonus pack 3 is included in bonus pack 4.

Each pack has it's own content, however, some overright small parts of others. The biggest issue there was with the mutators Digital Extreme (DE) created, then decided wreen't quite right. They made the biggest mistake and simply released new files of the sme name, which made mismatches galore occur. :tsk: You'd run into problems entering servers using one version of the mutators when you had a different set loaded.

Solution? Install the ones you want in order, then either delete or rename the files named de.* / DE.* in the System subdirectory.

Well there are only 4 that I know of unless you want to consider the CTC mappack a bonus pack which I do! :D

You can get the CTC mappack here but be warned it's a 32 mb download:

If you get the CTC and like it keep your eyes pealed because CTC vol 2 is in the works and it's bound to be a fine mappack as well! :evil:

You really should make sure you have all 4 bonus packs installed (one, two, and maybe 3 may have come with the Game of the Year Edition CD).

Not sure exactly where you'd find them. They might also not be called "Bonus Pack 3", etc, when you do find them. We have some here at the Playground under the subheading "Official UT Files".

Yeah bonus pack 3 was *officially* called the "Inoxx pack" so if you want bonus pack 3 you'll have to look for the Inoxx pack. Yes it's true that Epic did and still does some pretty weird things but I don't think it's a plot against our democracy or anything though.

If you want a listing of what's on each of them I could do that using Unreal Office if you're sure you really need a list. There should have also been a file called DE.umod in the 2nd bonus pack too.
