To: The Unreal Tournament Community
In response to the vile heinous attacks on Sept. 11, we the people feel that the relic of vengeance should be removed from all Unreal Tournament servers. Many cannot still play, as they break into an emotional fit as their enemies grab this dastardly relic and charge zealously into the opposing team's base causing mass carnage.

Please, Have a heart, and let the people be heard.

Administrators can remove it if their playing body needs it gone. But a sweeping change like this because some people are still sensitive? Sorry.

Maybe I'm too callous or something, but it's been 8 months. I'm surprised this is the first I've heard anybody speak up about the Skull and 9/11.


In the end, players who are offended can go elsewhere.

Wow, I sure hope that isn't a real petition. I can't believe people are that ignorant, I HAVE to believe people aren't THAT ignorant to say a relic like vengeance hurts people because of 9/11, give me a break people, open your eyes more and realize your ignorance is the problem, not video games.

Let me give you a little idea of what it's like to live in New York these days (after 9/11). The first 4 months there were funerals everyday. The next month there were funerals every other day and now they only happen when a new group of bodies are uncovered from the rubble.

There are plenty of things to joke about, this isn't one of them!

Ha ha.... but you know... when I played UT again after 9/11 the vegeance relic did pop up my on my radar with intrinsic meaning not there before.

Still didn't stop me from showing the evil red team, that they will continue to be a target until the blue team knows peace.

Have you guys every browsed through PetitionOnline? 90% of the 'petitons' are fake...this one included. Off hand I can think of another one that was petitioning to have the name of the next Lord of the Rings changed as it was hurtful to those who survived the WTC attacks.

They actually took the Tactical Ops servers offline after 9/11 for a day or so. Ticked me off as I was addicted to TacOps at that time. Some people...

People even complained because people would play on the "Terrorist" team after that. They are JUST GAMES!!!
