what exactly is mapvote? sorry im new, ive seen peopl talk about map voting i was thinkign itsa where after the match you vote for the next map. but now it seems ot be some kind of software or something?

it's a mutator which acts more like an extension, allowing players to vote on a map on the server out of a list.

MapVote is a great mod and it's very common. Instead of having a fixed rotation, it allows players to "vote" for the next map to be played. It's very useful for pug servers and clan servers, allowing the players to control the map selections (well, allowing them to choose maps from whatever maps are installed on the server). The #PugUP pug server (S4) has MapVote installed.
