"The Thing" with Kurt Russell. "Back off. Way off"
"Alien" if you have not seen it recently
"Blade Runner" the new DVD is really good.
An obscure film called "Star Wars" with Harrison Ford
"AI" by Spielberg, great film to some, crap to most. I liked it.

all very good, and films I have not seen recently with the exception of The 5th Element. But I can never get tired of that one. I haven't heard of the Galactica one.... I'll have to check it out though it sounds more like a prank... :D
Has anyone seen that one that's a remake of a Russian movie with George Clooney? Forget the name. Iris... Flowers... something like that I think

Galactica 1980 was a cheap spin off from the massively popular 'Battlestar Galactica' series. Not so much a movie as the pilot episode was (i think) only 60min. but it's just soooo cheesy it's gotta be worth a look!! hehe

-Alien
-Aliens
-Fifth Element
-Original Star Wars Trilogy
-Blade Runner
-Star Trek: First Contact
-Battlefield Earth (NOT THE MOVIE, OH GOD NOT THE MOVIE! The book is so much better.)

haha missed all the fun again (damn)
i would have said the original alien, that seems obvious...
quite a playlist u have now Mango...
for no other reason than nailing the genre from the absolute beginning, try and find a copy of "Metropolis"... yeah, it's old but that was a fantastic vision for it's time... it's all about "things to come" (some of which actually came in one form or another)
next up, "forbidden planet" (be sure to freez frame the scenes where Morbius is revealing the Krell machine to Commander Adams (Leslie Nielsen) and Doc ...
those were fantastic opticals for the 50's
that single movie was a "sci-fi" template for movies and tv shows that followed (obviously star trek)
we'll expect a map afterwards...
cheers
