from ananova ... Staff of a Chicago restaurant called police because two customers wouldn't pay for a meal they said was too hot.

Carlice Nash-Taylor and her daughter, Danyale, said they couldn't eat the jambalaya dish they were served at the 115 Bourbon Street restaurant in Merrionette Park.

They told staff the dish was too spicy, and when the restaurant refused to take the meal back the pair said they wouldn't pay.

They eventually offered to pay for some of their meal, but that offer was rejected.

They're now suing the restaurant, claiming they were falsely arrested, wrongfully detained and had their civil rights violated.

Their lawyer said the restaurant overstepped its bounds by using the police as a "personal private, collection agency."

The restaurant released a statement saying it will defend the allegations in court, says the Chicago Sun-Times.

thats really friggin stupid for a business to do that. Granted, if you know its a hot dish then you should use disgression but c'mon!
ya know how many times i ordered food that tasted like crap and sent it back! I love Buffalo Wings , especially at Pizzeria Uno's in the city but since wifey's been preggnant she hasn't been able to chow down on em even though she craves them. We ordered a plate about a week ago and asked the waiter to make sure she got a mild order. When they came out and she tried them , they were blazing hot. I told the waiter and guess what .......he didn't call the cops!!! He went back to the kitchen and got another order and made sure they were mild. Thats it, end of story. We weren't charged for the first plate and she got to enjoy her wings if only 15 minutes later. Thats how you do things in the food business.....not make a stink act a fool and call 5 0.
