He should be charged with assulting a police officer. You can't get away with crap like that with the 4 legged police members in North America.

That city really freaks me out but I do want to go visit it one day. I recall seeing a news story on ambulance drivers and cities in which they showed JOHANNESBURG. The stats were something like 71 murders occured EACH DAY in that city alone.. how freaky is that?

LOL yes a hungry world....

But IMHO, police dogs are a bit extreme in most cases. Whenever I see them on tv, they're always chewing some guy to pieces that really isn't a murderer or the type of criminal that such drastic means should be resorted to. If you can't catch the crook on foot, you shouldn't be a cop. And besides, it's a human's natural instinct to fight back. If I'm being mauled by a dog, I'm grabbing it's lower jaw and- well... no need to really elaborate further. (is that redundant)

This is coming from someone with the misfortune of having been attacked by dogs on two different occasions as a child.

thx Radio. Luckily, I wasn't bitten in the face. I just got some cool scars on my ass and legs cause I was a running mo fo... I managed to get on top of cars both times, and even though one of the dogs was a big german shepard (which I was barely taller than at the time) they didn't have the smarts to follow me up. Now if that was Minnesota, I would have had my rifle with me and it would have been a different story....
