The Punisher

Was pleasantly surprised by this. Wanted to see Dawn of the dead but it wasn't playing anywhere:(
Good movie, lots of action. Never really read the comics so not sure how faithful this rendition is but as a movie it was a fun ride.
Guns, explosions, and damn the chick who plays travolta's wife singes the screen everytime she shows up. :D

Very pleased by this movie. I have been an avid reader of the punisher series ever scene Garth Ennis picked it up. The movie kind of mixed a couple story lines. The whole apartment roommates and house were in Ennis' "Welcome Back Frank" graphic novel. The bad guy is different than in that though, and I'm not sure if he was from the original punisher. Either way it was a great story for people new to the punisher.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie was how they killed the Russian. First of all he doesn't die there in the series. (Frank cuts off his head in later issues.) In the comic the Russian is stopped when he get pizza thrown in his face by the fat neighbor, then Frank throws the fat guy on top of the Russian knocking him out. (The pizza guy in the comic is much fatter than he is in the movie.) I just thought it was a cool, odd way to go.

All together the movie was great, and I loved how it stayed violent like the comics are, although I don't think the Punisher really uses that many explosives. Great movie!

Just finished watching it, and OMG....brilliant.
Never read the comics either, but i knew who he was.

Awesome casting too, great acting and of course, the all important payback storyline.
Loved it:)
