Here a clan, there a clan..

This whole clan thing tends to get out of whack sometimes. People switching clans, talking about clans all the time during games, blah, blah, clan, blah, blah..

Clans should just play other clans.. If you're not in a clan match, drop the clan stuff.. It doesn't strike fear into anyones hearts when they see an <AOK> or {ASS} or (HERO) before, during, or after your name.. In fact, it makes me laugh when I see three or four "clan" members in the score sheet below me during a game.. And I've never really seen any kind of organization from clan members either.. Maybe during a true clan vs. clan match, there's some kind of organization (I would hope) but, I've never really seen it much on StealthDP..

Leave the clan talkin here in the forum and out of the game..

Anyways, I gotta say I agree with Bam on the ClanSpeak issue. It would be like if some family went to a mall and then, in the middle of a crowded plaza, started discussing which home to put grandma in, where to take their next vacation, how to spend the half million they'd just made from good stock sellings... It's rude to talk about these things around people whose business it isn't. When clans start chatting away about ClanStuff that doesn't concern the majority of the players, it stifles other voices. And you gotta wonder if they're still playing when they get a full-on conversation going... (yaya I'm guilty of that sometimes too) So uh..keep it in the family.

I must concur, with the above posts. I have experienced some clan members during games, just chilling out in the corner whilst they type to one another. Very distracting, not necessary and just plain rude. You expect some backup or some support but all you get is"...hey so and so when is the match, or does anyone wanna join/challenge?" PLEASE EXCUSE THE MESS.

ok, lately on stealth, ive seen about 20- 30 new( that i havnt seen before) clans coming in. few of them are good players like the new [lam] person and that that {prj-x}coors. besides them and the usual clan good clan members like maxwell, fatguy, and youngwolf, i think the rest of them, pretty much arnt that good all. i usualy score better, follow orders like cover the flag carrier with needs help, defend the base better and i usually have more sucessful flag runs then most of the clan members do. the way i see it is if ur in a clan, u should be a very good player, or why would the clan take u. i mean whats the piont of being in a crapy clan.

Of cause,there should have many strong player in a clan.
if not,that clan name should be [weak] XD

But some people join a clan and want to improve the skills from the clan .

So I think,some clan member got lower score then you is acceptable.May be they are newbies.

Nonono...clans don't have to have great players to warrant playing. Remember that most people play for fun and often a clan can just be a group of people who also wanna play for fun. So yeah, I laugh when I'm kicking ass compared to all the clanners, but that's funny cuz I assume they think they're the shiz b/c they're in a clan.

I remember when I played Worms 2 all summer I joined a clan {THC} - we just played for fun THC == The Hedonists Clan or something like that (hehe besides the name of a certain chemical derived from a certain plant). So don't assume all clanners think they're the hot stuff; I'm sure some just like having a group of buds to play with. =)

Soo..I've gotta like AOK's theory on names looking cooler. Hehe. It would seem that I should move my tag to the front of my name, change it to A$$, but then again.. since it's not even a clan, I'm not sure of the need.

I remember the game that probably pushed Bam over the edge. I was there. To protect the guilty, I won't name names. BUT.. some otherwise respectable players were behaving irresponsibly. Now, there's nothing wrong with a bit of trash talk.. it makes games more entertaining. But constant babbling about things no one else cares about is just annoying. Futher, said players (well.. the one on Bam & I's team anyway) was in fact standing in the spawn room, not moving. The other was sorta playing, getting a few frags in between paragraphs.

Don't piss off Bam. Don't talk clan and play. Stealth and Mikey went through the trouble to create a chat room. Use it.

I disagree that you must be good to be in a clan. For the most part clans are social entities. However, I do agree there are those who become part of a clan to feel like they are part of something, or to create the illusion they are good. I can name several of those off the top of my head that play on Stealth DP, but I am not feeling cruel right now.

As for the good clan players on Stealth, I would say PRJX are decent players overall. I would say Naked_Fat_Guy (the little shock whore - like I should talk) is their best. I would put my clan in with the good players as well. Plus, there are some good HERO players on the server.

For me, the choice to be part of a clan is simply because I am friends IRL with the other members. We like to play together. In fact, some have probably noticed that the ever-arrogant [LAM]Suck_It always switches to the team with other LAM players.

By the way BamBam, my clan title may not strike fear into your heart, but I know I do :)

Sometimes I'll get on and lament about how I want to join a clan, or how I want to start one (but only on big, boring maps where everyone is complaining and generally screwing off). Sometimes, if there are a bunch of clan guys on, I'll "borrow" one of their tags and play awhile. It's all just b/s.

It's all done with sarcasm as its ultimate end. I first experienced this over on Chud's server where I was regularly subjected to clan gossip about who joined/quit MR or the Robots. It all seemed like a big joke to me, since it wasn't a clan server to begin with. So when this talk would interfere with games, I'd put in my two cents to illuminate the ridiculousness of it all.

I'll stop doing it on Stealth. Don't want to tick you guys off...just pick you off (with the sniper rifle of course). hehe

Mini you better have that eye looked at and let a doctor give you some antibiotic eye drops dude!. That don't look too good IMO. An eye infection can impare your vision permanently if let go too long. :( I've been there and done that already.

I find it amusing that we've implemented the -=UP: tag since this thread, so it really throws off half of the point of the first post. Wow, I miss Bams. One of the very few who was both a part of the StealthDP and SoggyBread / UnrealMafia communities. Weirdest part is that I swear BamBam left because the two merged and got "too large" and impersonal, something I never really noticed.
