i postponed my reading of it over the holidays, and started reading it again....man, what a depressing ending!

i won't go into it incase you want to read the book yourself, just started the thread to see who else has read it and hear their opinions on it.

Yeah, Mr. Orwell can't be said to have had an optimistic outlook on life. I read Animal Farm every couple of years; I consider that his best work, though he died relatively young...perhaps he would have come up with something greater in his twilight years.
