And can you believe it, Ms. Lansing, that I haven't even written one word about Angelina Jolie? Since she's now our Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations, I thought I'd leave her out of this. Not a personal diss of what is sure to be as average of the first TR movie, but I find it hilarious the phrases the reviewers come up with to pan a film:

Lara proclaims: 'Some things are not meant to be found.' I nodded quietly in my seat in agreement and then thought, 'Some movies are not meant to be seen, either.

Inane claptrap that's sure to be forgotten in the time it takes to rattle off its elongated title.

If ever there was a movie fit for permanent entombment, it's this sequel.

When we're not offered dime-store CGI or cardboard Temple Settings, we're attacked by action sequences that waver between "stutter-step silly" and "slo-mo stupid".

I'm not a big Korn fan, and I was sitting there thinking the video's really stupid, but then it'll show Angelina shooting hot rays out of her eyes, I druel and keep watching. :D

Saw it and had fun. My one problem with it was every damn action sequence was shown in the trailer. :angst: But it was worth the matinee price. Lots of action - Angelina lookin like a lil' kitty Kat - Mmmm.

The movie only made 21 million this weekend, so I doubt you'll be seeing a Tomb Raider 3 (spy kids 3D kicked the crap out if it at the box office).

LMAO! you know you're talking to an american when they inform you of things like that! in the UK 21 million in one weekend is a LOT of money. this is probably due to the fact that the USA is so big (duh) and that the dollar is so weak compared to the pound :p lol

anyway, the "doubt you'll be seeing a Tomb Raider 3" thing. you may (or may not) be surprised to hear this, but...when the first movie was about to come out, i was reading some magazine (i forget which) and it had an article about the film. it said something about "Angelina Jolie is the actress to play the cyber babe. she has signed a contract meaning if the first movie gets [a certain amount of box office sales] then she will sign a new contract for 2 sequels".

of course, that isn't 100% accurate, but the bit about teh box office sales and 2 sequels bit was, so expect another one :)
