View Full Version : CTF-BloodBowl
07-19-2003, 11:15 PM
Decided to release a final version of BloodBowl. Moved the middle kicker added a second and placed them above and to the right and left of each base. Kickers now put you up to the upper walkways. Moved invis and keg to upper level and boots down to the pit. The two lifts on the deemer platform were recessed and enlarged.
Bots still play well but they go for the two upper kickers less than when there was a single one in the middle. Online players will be able to choose a lift jump, hammer/lift jump or venture futher out to one of the four kickers for a run up top. Also there are two kickers around the middle lower area that kick you left and right for the amp or shield depending on your preference.
Enjoy and once again thanks for the feedback and suggestions.
I wonder if I should request a review of this since it is nothing really outstanding just basic CTF circular style play. Oh well, I am 1/2 way through a new Gothic DOM map and have a completed DOM map I am debating releasing.

Here's the download link ;)
Will check it out now man. I played the original, but haven't been able to post on the board through the beta phases, and now I guess any comments would be redundant. :)
Looking out to see if it gets in the rotation :)

Thanks Sabb for the link and the vote but this map isn't quite rotation quality. It is fun but me thinks it would be a bit easy for the L337 CTF playas.

I like this map alot. 8 against 8 makes for
some vicious bloodfests, and yet bots can make
sucessful flag captures. Anybody who doesn't
download this doesn't know what they're missing.
Well done--Thanks !!

It's better than a fair few of the maps I've played on rotation in gameplay terms. :)
But then again the ones I have trouble with are usually thing that kill my FPS or hinder my movement. So I guess I'm biased.
Bloodbowl runs lightning fast and is nice and open for dodging etc. :D
Thumbs up from me anyway. http://www.unrealplayground.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

It *is* in rotation for those wanting to try with an absurdly high player count. :D

Looks so much better when I'm playing it. And it's quite a lot of fun. Good effort, man.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have yet to get in a game online. I jumped in one and it was the last 2 minutes of the game and I happen to be on the 6-1 losing side. Oh well.
I have one in the Beta que that I really want to finish but can't get a lot of feedback on it. Does that mean it sucks? hmmm Or, maybe it's decent? Or, maybe there are so many quality maps being produced lately that peeps just haven't had time to give it a go. Get a chance go check it out and let me know what ya think so I can put it to final and move on. (actually I have moved on 4 projects ago....heh......the "addications of mapping".
I gotta get out there and play more.
