A 3/4 Akita mix doggy I saved from the local SPCA shelter when he was 8month old.. Let him romp around inside the house..
Have had dogs my whole life so no cats..
Also have a fish tank for these COOL little African dwarf frogs that live their whole life under water. Tiny little things that pop up to get air once every now and then. I have some fish in there too but really I got the tank so I could have the little bad ass frogs!! heh

sigh... you're right....:(
Rottweiler named Dante.
But I gave him up to my X-Girlfriend when I moved to Texas from NJ. She lived on a horse ranch with lots of animals...I live in an apartment. It's obvious a 148 lb. dog would be happier on a ranch with other dogs than cooped up in an apartment. We had bought him together from a breeder and raised him for 3 years. He was a beast, but he thought he was a lapdog. The sweetest, gentlest, but clumsiest Rottie you ever want to meet.
I miss him so much. :(

I found six puppies behind the office about three years ago here in Dallas. My wife and I kept two and gave the rest to good homes. They havebeen the best dogs I have ever had. One past away at the end of last year from a heart problem. It was like losing a kid. :(
TXW - I tracked down the animal you found. It turns out, he is from a championship bloodline and one of 3 brothers.
The breeders ask that you please return him to his three brothers as soon as possible as the constant worrying might cause excessive wrinkles.
Here is the last picture taken of him and his brothers:

Yea Viper, losing a pet is hard. :( I've found that I felt more despair at the loss of a pet than most of the funerals I've been to (I've been to about two dozen funerals...16 or so of family members).
The hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life was put my dog, Spanky, to sleep. He was 15 years old and could barely walk and was half blind. He would bump into walls and stuff and was just really having a hard time. We took him to the vet and I held him in my arms and looked into his eyes as the vet euthanised him. I saw the life slowly drift out of his eyes and I completely lost it. I'm on the verge of tears just remembering it as I type. :( I think it's the unconditional love that pets give that makes it so hard.
The average dog is a better person than the average person.

Watching a dog die is just awful. I still miss my 1st dog..boarder collie/shepard..and will always think of her as the best dog in the world. Ok..I'm done.
