last just the one area to construct then will pass map to Cobra for pathing weapons etc then when done will pass back to me for finale optimizing. Map is already much faster than the ctf-version 20-30 fps in the large outdoor area .Even the slowest area on the map "the passage to the blue base with the big feet which sometimes dropped to 24 fps does not dip below 42 fps now. But hope to get some more fps before release ;)

Here's a addition link to some newer screens changed the lighting in water room now finished and tweaked the lighting over the whole map to get a more acurate balance between shaded and sun light area ;)

Dude, my hobby for the longest time has been studying ancient Egypt and so far of all the Egyptian themed maps this one "feels" the most like an Egyptian place, (at least from the pics). Very nice, will be looking forward to this one.

:cool: Thanks DarkSniper When I first started the idolworship series of maps I researched ancient Egyptian temples and palaces in great depth. And I set out to make the maps in a authentic Egyptian style. As I think that the epic hi-tec Egyptian theme, although very well done doesn't work for me .Some complain that the maps are too blocky and have too many statues.
But as you know Egyptian arcitecture is very square in style and have for the most part a huge amount of statues at any given site in fact many more than I would get away with :D Also I wanted a egyptian style in it's prime not a ancient run down theme anyway very pleased you are looking forward to the map :cool:

Whew, looks very nice. Also it must have a real good mood. :) Although i'm kinda worrying about the fps..... :eek:
I must be one of the few poor fellows that run a lower end machine, so i hope the fps is good.
I like to use Antalus as a standard: If it has about 1/2 of Antalus' fps it will run good on my system. :D
