There are two kinds of people in this world. People who like cocacola, and people who like Pepsi. Personally, I like Pepsi. I grew up on the stuff. heck, in 9th grade, I did a report on the history of pepsi, and I got a poster, book, and bumber sticker in the mail from them! I think they are a great company, but they just can't match coke in advertising. Did you know that Coca cola was the ones who dressed Santa Clause? That why he is red! In their commercials they give a feeling of family, unity, and memories. Pepsi...well...their ad campain consists of super models and Britney Spears....Which is great, but...I think Britney Spears is a moron. :D Good looking, but stupid as hell.
Anyway...Pepsi is the best, and all you coke morons can kiss my a$$.:D

I have to agree with you Hero Max, even though Coke is better at advertising, I prefer Pepsi. But being at Berkeley, they mostly have Coke so I have no other choice.... (I must admit, I am a soda-holic)..... and Coke isn't that bad.... but Pepsi is better. :D

er..Its funny how this conversation puts people against eachother. I stopped talking to a guy for liking coke more than pepsi...It wasn't just because of that, but because the conversation quickly changed to.."Your MOM!" and ..."Thats not what your Mom said last night!"
There are two reasons why people drink coke. People would drink coke because it had cocaine...then their kids would even after the ingredient was removed...and then their kids and so on!
Secondly, because of all the fake memories coke ads plant into your head. Making you think childhood was good. Seriously..mine sucked! Parents were always fighting, my parents trying to live their lives through me. My dad once freaked out because I quit soccer after 3 years and forced me for another 2!

As far as which is sweeter... blame your taste-buds... your genetic heritage determined how you taste things: how bitter, how sweet, how salty....
That's one of the reasons people see Pepsi or Coke as sweeter regardles of the actual sugar content... then, over time your body develops differing tolerances and likes....

I grew up drinking Pepsi but now I don't like it.

Uh... they BOTH do this.... Pepsi has recently signed deals to be the exclusive provider on entire college campuses. Take the University of Nebraska and others for instance. Every fountain machine, every vending machine and every retail outlet sells Pepsi only. Coke does this too. It's just plain wrong... customer and choice don't matter-- stock holders pockets are all that matter anymore.

And don't forget grocery stores. In many stores, the distributers still "buy" shelf space to strong-arm other brands off the shelf. It gets easier and easier to be #1 if #'s 3-10 can get on the shelf. It ain't legal but it still happens.
And to continue the rant... If you see a 12 pack of anything selling below about $3.00-- they are selling it at a loss in most markets--- stores do this cause they know you'll pick up chips and other greatly inflated, profit making items.

Uh... brother used to be a distributor.... and I mostly drink brain-rotting diet drinks these days anyway.

I grew up on Pepsi, too, but it seems like it is sweeter now then when I was a kid. I prefer Coke now 'cause I like the burn. Plus I can't stand that little girl on the Pepsi ads.

Wow! I Didn't think this thread would go anywhere. Anyway, I don't drink cola that much anymore. Rootbeer, Corona, and water. Thats about it. As for one soda being sweater than another, I believe that Pepsi has more sugar. er.. thats one of the reasons I dont drink soda that much anymore. Way too much sugar. I used to "shake" from taking in too much sugar. (Pepsi and a twinki for breakfast!) Anyway, Pepsi is still my favorite. Coke tends to taste bland to me.
