Ugh actionscript I have about 3 'few hundred' page books on this. I used to be into flash/actionscript about a year ago, but havent looked at any of in in a looooong time. Any reason in particular your looking into actionscript for picture viewing? It is very unique and there are many possibilties available but unless youre a wiz at this stuff, or you 'borrow' code it can be rather frustrating.

I was lookin at some of the code and it seems to be an actionscript more so based on CSS styles, probably something automated or intergrated into whichever program was used to create it. Just my 1.5 cents ;)
