CTF-IDOLWORSHIP-THE-RETURN-BETA 1 (http://www.unrealplayground.com/mapper.php?id=1694)
I should have said before this is a map that needs to be played in low grav or the kickers will not fuction properly and you will not be able to reach all those nice rocky platforms

Very disappointed about lack of interest in beta. I thought I did some good work here well anyway could one of the people who did download the beta please give me some feedback on the frame rate on there rig it will be very!... very! appreciated! did add and fix a few things after uploading beta such as water reflecting surrounding area instead of default image ;) here's pics
Big thanks to the people who did show a interest

I have try'd it. Simply super!, I had play the other version. But this one is much better. And BTW: I like runing 1 mille to get to the flag. Just love big CTF-. Ok on my Althon 2000+ Xp
Gf4 Ti4600128MB
768MBDDR
It was runing very smout. I realy like the light's in that one.
The refection of the water is great. I'm not a maper, but when I see a good map. It is a good map that's all. And for me it is one of the best CTF-. For UT2. Simple super great job. BM

I have try'd the jump pad. Simply great. But one thing, when the pathing is done on that. I think that it will be heavy on some machine, even fast one. But I realy like the shadows . Realy great. Here is a pic, that I like. Good job man. But try to keep the map playable.

I checked out the frame rates and it was fine with mine

Intel P4 2.26 ghz
GeForce TI4200
512mb ram

The map is very large. Took forever to load. The reflections in the gold fire plates are pretty wild.

Very nice work but almost too large for the slow movement on 2k3 however the kickers take care of alot of that.

I think the lack of feedback come from the fact that it is now commonly admitted your maps are huge, something which often doesn't work in CTF: simply because people don't like running during hours to take a flag...

It's a mistake I've done one year and a half ago with CTF-Ezsmerhim: you can ask to anyone in here, I bet they still remember this behemoth :D

As usual, it's good-looking, I can also say it's great-looking but probably unplayable

A very nice effort anyway

Yes. Way too big but looks very nice.

I would pack a lunch prior to getting the flag as I knew it would take awhile to get back. :D

:D Big thanks for the posts I am a lot happier now first Cobra
thanks for your comments  glad you like the map and good to see that you are still here and posting.and I have got to say we have nearly exactly the same rig Althon 2000+ Xp
Gf4 Ti4600128MB
500MBDDR and I am going to take great care to make the map playable ;)
Zinia thanks for the post and the frame rate info "The reflections in the gold fire plates are pretty wild. " I intend re-skinning them like I did the water to reflect the actual surroundings before I post the final version
and Gui aways with the unplayable :D But as this was a re-vamping of the the first ctf-idolworship I could not reduce the size without losing the integrity of the map so yes there is a lot of running around for the people who choose to but with the introduction of the kickers you can get to the respective flag rooms very fast indeed within a few minutes infact and with very little walking and by the way if you do download the beta you will see you get a thank you in the read me for your exellent advice on the lighting had a big impact on the final look of the map! well anyway I only re-did this map because I got a email from someone who enjoyed the first map and asked me to do another egyptian style one But as I am sick of the sight of egyptian now I took the easy option and did a re-make but I must say I am proud of the way the map turned out looks wise . But to finish this overly long post my next ctf map will be a completely differant theme and way smaller :D thanks again
