Hello all, jus wanna give you all a heads up on my latest map. I have been a fan of MOHAA since the first time I played it. (UT2003 still is my obvious fave)
This latest map is from their multi-player, in my humble opinion, the best of the game, Destroyed Village.
Although, not a spittin image of the original, but very very simular, the lay out is roughly the same, but with a few changes here and there. For eg. I have scaled everythin a bit bigger, due to the physics of UT2003, like the double jump and speed of which the game is played. I also have had a hard time comin up with textures that are simular to MOHAAs, but I feel the ones I used are fairly close.
The Map is a DM type map, suitable for 5 to 15 players. Its also bout 75% done,All the magor work is done, now theres the touch ups,and tweeks.
Ifn you have any sugestions, or praises,LOL!!! write back. I want to know what other fellow mappers think.
Here are a few screenies to wet your appetites!

Have you had any response on this one at all....

I find that strange as I think it looks really good. One thing, have you got ambient brightness on the terrain or zone? Is seems a tad bright, nothing major.

I would like to see this when its released:)

Looks interesting, definately a nice change from the majority of UT2003 maps thus far. A few things I noticed, however...

The terrain does seem a bit bright, it might look better if you gave it more contrast (shadows, etc).

The terrain also looks underscaled. I'd recommend you scale up some of those textures (go to the "terraininfo" and under layers you can edit the scaling of textures on your terrain layers)

Overall, looks good, and I look forward to a playable beta!

Thanks for the replies, funny thing though, I didn t receive an e mail sayin that there were posts. As for the map, I have a small group together, and we re makin a WW2 mod, everythin still in the early stages, This map still needs a couple static meshes to get it closer to completion. Later all...BLUES_MAN

looks nice, i agree about the brightness though.
Are you using a "sunlight" actor....

O, sorry, just looked at another pic, yep, you are.
I think the zone lighting is too high, why not make the zonelight about 10 ish, and up the brightness of your sunlight actor.

Just a few random thoughts.....

Its a pity vehicles cant easily be modified, because this looks like a good map for a bit of Panzer action.

Very good map. Very diferent from the UT2 maps. Great job doing this. But 2 things. Look at the pics. The bots could be improuve a lot in there. But I will fix it and keep it on my HD. So much diferent. Very fun to play. Gret job man.

Its the strangest thing, that line in the church, I have tried a few things to get rid of it, but it jus wouldn t go, oi! however the pickups on the roofs are more for MP gamers, I add bot support so people can get a feel for the map, makes searching a lil more eventful. And sometimes jus for the fun of it, but thanks for the feed back, much appreciated! Take care...BLUES_MAN
